I just so happened to catch the owner, Jacko Vendetta, there & he was sweet enough to indulge my request for a ride.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting with Josephine Aurbierre of Run Amok. Her shop features delicious low prim furniture & accessories perfect for your trashy trailer or urban grunge warehouse. Her initial inspiration was decorating her own trailer home, so she knows what matters to us. She also does tattoos & buildings, & runs The Pampered Slave.

My my, the weather has been so beautiful these days! After another negative pregnancy test I decided to spend the day celebrating in the neighbor's pool. If he hadn't rigged the TV to just pick up football, it would have been perfect. But after enough beers it was just like watching Dancing With The Stars if you squinted.

Well dears, as I mentioned previously there's the chance I might be in a troubled way. Don't get me wrong, children are a beautiful part of life and a woman's ability to shelter and nurture new life is a sacred honor, but my life isn't currently one I think a child needs to be brought into. For instance, look at the mess I've got myself into now? I mean, I'm a good person at heart, but it's the other parts that get me in trouble most of the time. ahem

But anyway, I needed to know something for sure one way or the other. I decided it's time to stop sitting on my hands (amongst other things - but I'll need meetings for that). I headed on down to the drugstore at Deciduan Couples to pick up a home pregnancy test.

In honor of this glorious holiday I went on a hunt for hidden treasure! The Easter Bunny doesn't come into the trailer park any more since there were a few issues in past years involving rabbit hunting & Easter Bunny stew. Too bad really, the meat's tender & it has some gorgeous colors. But I digress. So after church, I had to go hopping around myself looking for treats.

It was a passionate night of the flesh & I got a little too carried away to remember to use protection. So during the time I had to sit on my hands wondering if I might be with child I did a little searching looking into my options. What I found was a gift from God (little did I know how close to the truth that was).

Yesterday I received a message from some hick named Inbred Texan letting me know that while he doesn't have any trailers yet, he does make plenty of grungy hillbilly buildings & accessories. So I searched his store to see what, if anything, he had warranted inclusion in the the trailer blog. Well, it certainly sounded interesting enough.

Here is the description from his stores listing: "The I-Reckon Main Store by a Inbred Texan and Backwoods Texan. Redneck, RP styled Prefabs that are apocalyptic in nature. decrepid textures, scripted rezzing tools, secret rooms, and security cameras add to interactive role play. redneck, hillbilly, hick"

So I messaged him back & he tp'ed me over for a personal tour of his latest structures.

First up is his grungy garage. This would be perfect for the shade tree mechanic! And doesn't every trailer park need one? True trailer parks are always located close to three things: a church, a Wal-Mart, & a filthy garage. Ladies, you know what I mean. You take your car in for an oil change & pray you don't have to pee before they finish. Oh yeah. That's what I'm talking about.

This garage & gas station comes furnished & scripted, so you can rez different arrangements depending on your prim limits.

Since I told you what I did with my trailer, I thought I'd show you around. The trailer started out as a 2 room blank canvas for furnishings, which is one of the reasons I chose Sho Nuff. No redneck decor or nasty toilets to deal with. Ewww.

Ok, now this is the fun part! First, do you know what style you want for your trailer? Trashy? Classy? Eclectic? Dirty hippy? Redneck? What? Second, how many prims do you have to play with? Third, What areas are you outfitting? Do you need to set up a bathroom or kitchen?

There is anything & everything available to decorate your new home, including many 1 prim items that give a lot of realistic detail using photo texture. If you know how to build you can even make your own stuff. My home is done in a mix of 1prim & low prim items, including a 1 prim kitchen. Some of it I even made myself.

There is no need to spend a lot on everything. You can get a lot of stuff free. I kept it pretty simple & added a few key pieces. My biggest purchases were a bed & a rug for the living room. Both of these are simple, low prim designs (in fact the rug is only 1 prim), but have lots of animations. (you know what I mean *winkwinknudgenudge*)

I do a lot of shopping on XStreet to avoid lag & idiots & crazy blinging shit. You can search for what you're looking for & sort by price or prims. Very handy if you are on a budget & easy than tp'ing from shop to shop & having to find the prims of everything.

Since most trailers I've seen for rent are fairly low prim, & because if you aren't concerned about prim count you can go anywhere:~p, I'm focusing here on merchants who offer low prim home items, & the ones who specialize in trailer related accessories.

Well, you have two options: rent or own. To own you'll need some land to put it on, you can either buy it outright or find one of the many people renting land parcels. We're gonna focus on trailers, since there are many places you can find land sales/rentals and information about that. I may consider lot rentals listings if enough people bug me about it.

Things to consider: cost upfront (if you are buying a trailer & buying or renting land) & prim allowance. Generally, the more you pay the more prims your are allowed, but there are exceptions if you look around.

(fyi: prims = primitives, the basic shapes everything in SL is made of, to see how many prims something is made of you'll need to rez it or wear it, right click it & chose Edit, then under the General tab you'll see an area that tells you how many prims are in it. Size really doesn't matter here. You can have a tiny ring made of dozens of prims & large furniture made of only a few or even one.)

It can be hard to find a vacancy at many of the parks, so if you find one you're interested in with no vacancies, send the owner/manager a NC. Some of them have waiting lists.

There is no telling what you'll find here because the items inside it are not free, the vendor space is! the walls are lined with shelves & each person is allowed to place 5p in the store at a time for 12dys for free. It is a PG area & so there are restrictions. After 12dys your items are returned to you & you have to place them again. This is a Japanese sim.
